A native New Yorker I have been involved in the salon industry for 20+ years. I have been working at Maximus Spa/Salon for 14 years including training our new talent for the last 10 years to become successful professionals.
Throughout my years at Maximus I have been blessed with many accomplishments including a Kerastase Ambassador, Redken Specialist and a Soho Chic Educator at the L'oreal Academy. I have worked on a variety of makeover shows including Ricki Lake, Maury Povich and Sally Jesse Raphael. I also took part in fashion week in NYC, various fashion photoshoots, and attended a variety of education seminars at Wella, TIGI, Salon International in UK and HairBrasil in Sao Paulo.
Four years ago my dream turned into a reality when legendary icon, Vivienne Mackinder, came to our salon. I knew that this incredible woman was going to change my life and I was willing to take the risk. With persistence and faith I assisted her for two years. Whatever she needed, I was there. Today, I would still do it all over again. With Vivienne's mentoring, teaching and guidance I was able to obtain my highest achievement, a member of her Artistic team and now the Head of Education for Hairdesignertv.com. Still today, it still feels so surreal.
About 2 years ago, Vivienne introduced me to a John Maxwell training audio "Talent is never Enough." I was totally blown away. From that moment, I felt like I had a new virtual friend. A friend that I could relate to, understand and connect with. What I have learned and experienced has created a stronger value in me personally, professionally, emotionally and mentally.
I realized with Vivienne teachings and John Maxwell leadership coaching, the hairdressing industry could grow to unimaginable levels professionally and technically. I wanted to be part of the Founders Circle to learn, to inspired, to coach, to mentor and guide the world of hairdressers and beyond.
